As we enter our 10th year of operations deploying digital solutions for agriculture, we recognise that this milestone was made possible thanks to the support of our farmer clients, institutional partners and clients, investors, and team who make it happen in our quest to make positive social and economic impact in Africa.

In 2019, SyeComp reached big milestones. SyeComp is more than digital solutions for African farmers-our work is directly focused on the people we connect to climate information, finance, and rural markets daily. We work in hard-to-serve geographies where others, including non-profits don’t.

Farmers ( including fishers and pastoralists) in Africa face numerous challenges. On top of their traditional activity, there are more and more regulations, certifications, and consumers increasingly attentive to the origin of the food they eat. At the heart of all these challenges, there is one main thing: the farmers’ data.

SyeComp in the next decade will be a key Digital Intelligence for Agriculture Service Provider. We will expand our footprint in additional markets in East Africa and West Africa. SyeComp has long prioritized robust impact measurement and management in our operations. However, we have not been deliberate in implementing this research-driven strategy. In this next decade, we will strive to drive this process in all aspects of our operations with rigorous and proven methodologies .

We are still learning and continuously improving. SyeComp is a company focused on learning, knowledge management and dissemination. We intend to scale this area of our work and refocus our strength in Africa south of the Sahara. In order to reach and impact 90 million farmers, with at least 55% female farmers and rural youth participation in the next decade, we will expand our partnership efforts with other technology service providers in our operational countries, academia, and financial institutions.
