Assignment: Consultancy for the Development of Investment Readiness Materials for SyeComp

SyeComp is an Africa-based Remote Sensing and digital technology for agriculture company headquartered in Accra, Ghana with presence in Kenya serving smallholder African farmers and agribusinesses with bundled localised digital solutions: digital finance and climate information. SyeComp delivers bundled farmer services insights to enrich on-and-off farm profitability of African farmers and provides value-added bespoke digital services for agribusinesses. As a mission-driven company, SyeComp drives innovation in strengthening the productive, managerial, and financial capacities of rural smallholder farmers within Africa’s agrifood system.

SyeComp is a portfolio grantee of Mastercard Foundation Funds for Rural Prosperity Program (FRP). With a technical assistance facility received from KPMG-IDAS, the Fund Manager, SyeComp requires the expert services of an Individual Business Development Services (BDS) Consultant or BDS Consulting firm to develop investment readiness materials (IRM) for the company. The IRM should include: Business Plan, Financial Plan, Marketing and Sales Plan, Asset Valuation et al. for a targeted investment (debt, equity, guarantees) in the range of $7m to $13m. The BDS Consultant is additionally expected to ensure all essential documents for effective due diligence are available (pitch deck, annual balance sheet, bank statements, forecasts, exit strategy, et al.)

An individual BDS Consultant or firm that has the required competency and can clearly demonstrate abilities to meet the relevant criteria for this assignment can submit a brief technical proposal, portfolio of previous works, and full cost proposal for the assignment.
